About Us

Rust Belt Cycle Parts has grown from a hobby to a business, dedicated to the preservation and enjoyment of vintage mopeds, scooters and small displacement motorcycles.

The early days:

Rust Belt Cycle Parts was unofficially started in 2009 while I was living in the Milwaukee Fortress Building.  I began selling moped and motorcycle parts to cover the monthly $125 rent and utilities.  Driving around the Midwest in my 1995 Geo Prizm, I would pick up parts bikes and break them down, load them and drive them back to the Fortress, living in a small loft above the bikes.  I would mostly ride around town on my Tomos or Puch mopeds.  Eventually, the area gentrified and the Fortress was bought by developers to turn into high end condos.

Rust Belt Cycle Parts today:

We've come a long way.  In 2016, we moved into an old grainery building with much more room and we continue to help riders find parts for their vintage rides.
